Free Request Signatures
Send a PDF to several people for signing with private links. The file is encrypted in your browser, so we cannot read it.
Choose a PDF, add the people who need to sign and drag a signature, date or text field onto the pages for each person. You get one private link per signer and a status link for yourself. Each person opens their link, signs in their browser, and you download the finished PDF when everyone is done.
How to use the Request Signatures
- Add the PDF and the signers. Choose the file, then add the name of everyone who has to sign.
- Place the fields. Pick a signer, then add signature, date or text fields and drag them where they belong.
- Share the links and collect the result. Send each person their own link. Open your status link to see who has signed and download the finished PDF.
What is the Request Signatures?
Getting a document signed by several people usually means uploading it to a service that keeps a readable copy. This tool works differently. Your browser encrypts the PDF before it is uploaded, and the key is kept only inside the links you share.
You add the signers, drag signature, date and text fields onto the pages, and get one private link for each person plus a status link for yourself. Each signer opens their link, signs, and you download the finished PDF when everyone is done.
When to use Request Signatures
Use it when a document needs a signature from someone other than you and you want to skip printing, scanning and long email chains.
- A freelance or service contract that a client has to sign.
- An NDA that a supplier, contractor or investor must accept before you share details.
- A lease, addendum or rental form that a tenant or landlord signs.
- An offer letter, a quote or a purchase approval that someone has to confirm.
What this tool does and does not do
It is a simple electronic signature request. Here is exactly what you get:
- It does: encrypt the PDF in your browser, give each signer a private link, collect signature, date, text, initials and checkbox fields, and let you download the finished PDF with an optional activity record page.
- It does: work with no account for you or your signers.
- It does not: verify anyone's identity, use digital certificates, send emails for you, send automatic reminders or enforce a signing order. You share the links yourself by email, WhatsApp or any message.
- It does not: keep the document for long. Requests are deleted after 7 days.
How it compares with signing in a PDF reader
Firefox, Preview and Acrobat Reader can all sign your own copy of a PDF, often offline, and that is enough when only you need to sign. This tool is for the other case, where a document has to travel to other people and come back signed. If you only need your own signature, use the Sign PDF tool or your reader.
Is a simple electronic signature enough?
For many everyday agreements, yes, but it depends on the country and the type of document. Some documents, such as certain property transfers or wills, have special rules. This tool does not replace legal advice, so check what your agreement needs before you rely on it.
Tips for better results
Send each person only their own link. Anyone with a link can open the document.
Keep your status link. Links cannot be recovered because the key is never stored on our server.
Requests are deleted after 7 days, so download the signed PDF before then.

Privacy and where your data goes
When you create a request, your browser encrypts the PDF with AES-256-GCM before anything is uploaded. The key is placed in the part of each link after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server, so we receive only scrambled data and cannot open it. Our server holds the encrypted file and signatures, one-way hashes of the link tokens and the expiry time, then deletes everything after 7 days. We cannot recover a lost link. Signplify's other tools run on your device and do not upload your files. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Frequently asked questions
Can Signplify read my document?
No. The PDF is encrypted in your browser before it is uploaded, and the key stays in the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers do not send to servers.
Do signers need an account?
No. They open their link, sign and finish.
Is this a legally binding signature?
Electronic signatures are accepted for many agreements, but the rules depend on the country and the document. This tool does not use certificates or identity checks, so check what your agreement needs.
How long are requests kept?
Seven days. After that the encrypted file and the signatures are deleted.
How is this different from signing in Firefox, Preview or Acrobat Reader?
Those tools sign your own copy of a PDF. This one sends a document to other people and collects their signatures, each through a private link, with no account for anyone.
What can this tool not do?
It does not verify identity, use digital certificates, send emails or reminders for you, or enforce a signing order. Anyone who has a link can open the document, so send each person only their own link.
What if I lose a link?
Links cannot be recovered, because the key is never stored on our server. If a link is lost, create a new request and send fresh links.
